Restriction of non-spiritual activities of mind, speech and body, and to engage in the spiritual activities is called gupti.
Three types of gupti are:
(1) To retire from sinful activities of body, and to engage in spiritual activities of body is called käyä-gupti
(2) To retire from sinful activities of speech, and to engage in spiritual activities of speech is called vachangupti
(3) To retire from sinful activities of mind, and to engage in auspicious activities of mind is called mano-gupti.
